[IMPLEMENTED] Edit Keywords/Searches

Postby Jonathan.Skeens » Fri May 04, 2012 12:50 am

I would like to have the ability to edit the keywords / search terms that are used, especially the scraped keywords. I am trying to build links for a site that sells scented candles and bath and body products. I have noticed NHSEO searching for mortgages, rent calculators, and other things not related to my site and products. Obviously, this wastes time that could be spent searching for related topics.

Thanks!

The reason you see NHSEO searching for unrelated keywords is because it has already searched for relevant keywords and exhausted the possibilities, it then will switch to using trending keywords so as not to target the same websites as others. I have wanted to add in a keyword handler for a while but other features just took priority. I will most likely be adding it to the next big update.

That's awesome! This may be outside of the scope of your program, but what about having the keywords scraping tool be user configurable with various setting/choices and the ability to get variants on the keywords that are user input.

Thanks!

I will look into making the keyword searching (optionally) a bit more involved for a future big update that I am currently planning out. I agree it would be useful to have more control over the keywords being used for searching.
