I tried the demo version but it doesn't seem to be working (I'm not quite sure about it)...
When checking the log .. I see lots of failed & unsuccessful message & after running the program for a while, I don't really see any changes in the total number of back-links.

A post does not mean you have generated a link it just means that the comment (or other submission type) was sent successfully. Most of the time the post will require moderation and not show right away. The websites that show your link right away have comments set to auto-approve.

The posts that result in an instant link are saved as a confirmed link rather than just a successful post. Each confirmed link is then pinged (you can see groups of pings in your log), you can see the total number of links created in the profile list.

Ok, there are are approved comments/images/whois etc now & I have checked, ping works on them too. why does it still show I have no baklinks on this site http , I checked with multiple tools, still the same result.
To be honest, I don't really have much idea on seo but I thought comments with links to your website usually counts as a backlink, if so, then why does it show I have no backlinsk on the site & if I'm wrong, could you please elaborate on this subject, thanks.

None of the sites that show backlink data are using data directly from search engines anymore, the last one was Yahoo Siteexplorer and that shut down in November. No search engines show reliable backlink data anymore and the few that do show some info show only a small amount of backlinks and only after they have been crawled/indexed for a very long time.

No software / website / service is able to show you the true amount of backlinks that your site has, nor can they show you what a search engine sees or if it takes the links into consideration for ranking purposes. When you check your backlinks on any system you are relying on that system to have crawled the pages that you have created links from and added it to their index, this can take a lot of time as they often have a fairly low budget.

Delays between being created and third parties finding the link can be anything from a day or two to never, depending on the service / website / software and their resources. Chances are that if you have created a link the first one to notice it will be google and it is fairly irrelevant what the other systems say about your backlinks.

As my current internet speed is 1mbp/s with download speed of 128kbp/s & upload 60kbp/s
When I active the program, it takes almost all my net resources, can I have this software run on a webserver(VPS/dedicated maybe)?
And also whats the minimum & best speed required to use this software smoothly & get the best resutls.

Yeah lots of people run NHSEO on a VPS. So long as the server has 1Gb of ram you shouldn't run into many problems though generally the more the better with memory. You will likely need at least 10Gb HDD space to make sure you have space for the DB file and having a dual core machine will be better than a single core.
