Very Low success rate

Postby fastcooler » Sat Feb 11, 2012 8:57 am

Hi Jim,

Yesterday I bought NHS 1.6.24.

I installed it on my VPS, inside my server (100/100mbit), a set 100 threads, proxy harvester, turned on proxies.

It takes over 20 mins to harvest proxies and then it starts.

I'm using also Captcha Sniper.

I set to post on blogs no lower than PR3.

About 25 keywords, 4 spinned anchor texts.

After 10 hours I see only 4 confirmed links...

Isn't it low?

I can get more confirmed links manually in one hour...

Should I do different settins, please?

I think that's good.
After using it for a couple of days you should have some good back links, with only a click of a mouse.

First day is almost gone, I'm still at 3 (they were 4 before....) backlinks (trackbacks only, I never saw a Comment posted).

I was using previous NHS Trial till few days ago and I was thinking that low success rate was caused by no proxies.

Now that I bought NHS and that this new version has also a proxies harvester, I don't know why I still can't get links...

How have you set it, please?

How many BL are you getting?

Thanks

24h only 3 confirmed links (trackbacks).

Someone can help me to understand why can't get backlinks, please?

Thanks

Just to check, you are running at 1 searching thread, 100 posting threads, have "Use Proxies" in Proxies for Searching controls and "Use Proxy Harvester" checked? Are you using any other source of proxies?

What is happening in your log? If you are getting lots of search results giving 0 targets on a new profile then you may have too many searching threads enabled or just having bad luck with the proxy harvesting.

What is the most likely factor here is your PR limit of 3. The current version uses the posting proxies for checking PR, I have just this minute uploaded the latest update so I would suggest downloading this as it uses the searching proxies for checking PR. You do have to understand though that the majority of blogs do not have a PR above 1 and that these are normally heavily moderated.

As blogs of PR3 and above are generally well moderated you will want to use well crafted natural looking, but still spinnable, comments to aid in getting accepted. Using Captcha sniper and good private proxies for posting is a great idea to give your comments and trackbacks the best chance of getting accepted.

Hi Jim, thanks for your reply and for suggestions! :)

I'm running:
50 posting threads
5 searching threads
Use proxies for searching controls only
Use proxy harvester
I do not use other proxies, cause I thought they were not mandatory to succesfully post (I thought that built-in harvester was ok for both functions)
In log I'm getting a lot of results and targets, but also if they are told as "succesfully posted blog comment" I can't get links.

Today I'm at 6 confirmed trackbacks in total after 1 1/2 days.

Yes I know about PR3, it can be hard to find good blog to comment to... But manually I found many scraped blogs for the same keywords and I succesfully posted to them.

My wish is to get good PR backlinks, so quality backlinks. Not quantity of low quality BL. This is the reason why I set Min PR to 3.

Now I installed your new uodate, I will try it to see if it can improve results for me! I hope...

I'm using 1.6.25 since this morning. Now I get all 0 targets....

Please note that I am not using any PR limits and I also do a rescan of targets.

I have now 20 total max threads and 1 search thread.

No targets, nor results of course.

Can you suggest me some ideas, please?

One more thing: why if I press STOP and suddenly I press PLAY, every time NHS has to harvest again proxies also if it had them working few seconds before, please?

Considering that every time it looks for proxies it takes over 20 minutes it is really hard to change settings and see improvements easily...

Thanks

I am having the 0 target problem, although some times it does grab targets.

@fastcooler:
5 searching threads is high when using just 20 proxies, you can try setting the limit for proxies higher but this will mean the searching will take longer and the proxies you do receive will be less reliable due to the lower "freshness" of the proxies (more likely to be dead or over used the older they are). The best option would be to reduce this to 2 allowed searching threads so as not to burn out the searching proxies so quickly.

As stated previously the targeting of only PR3 and above pages also means you will be targeting blogs that are far more likely to have comments and trackbacks moderated so there will be very few auto-approve links to be had. To target these types of pages you will really need to be using custom comments and checking for links periodically as you will be gaining links through moderation more than auto-approve.

If you keep re-searching the keywords in your profiles you will keep returning the same results, if done regularly, and as such they will not be commented to. When results are taken from the search engine they are checked for past posts and if a post has already been made to a particular blog page it will not be attempted again, this is to cut down on spamming pages over and over as it results in heavy blacklisting and many spam complaints.

@Stevie:
Not all keywords will have any targets, especially not the more long tail obscure keywords. Also, as stated in my answer to fastcooler, when targets are searched for any duplicate pages will be filtered out as will targets on domains that were previously targeted (if the Post Once to Unique Domain option is checked). Basically if you are getting results from keywords everything is working.

Hi Jim,

thanks for reply.

Since today I have:

20 Thread Max
1 searching thread
NO limits on PR

I'm still having only 7 confirmed trackbacks....nothing else... It still seems to me a little low result.
