Posting comments

Hi!

I was make some tests and looking at NHSEO logs I found that a comment was succesfully posted in a blog: I opened that blog and I didn't found any comment.

So I tried to manually leave one...and... the one I put manually was published, but the one "succesfully" posted by NHSEO was not....

How is it possible, please?

When you looked at the post you visited a website that NHSEO had posted to, if you want to see an example of a comment you will need to visit a post that has a confirmed link, these can be seen by outputting the confirmed links and visiting one of those.

When you posted a comment manually you would have seen some text above or below your comment stating that the comment is now awaiting moderation, this means that only you can see the comment and is not a valid backlink at all.

OK, but how is possible that I was able to leave it manually and to see it immediately and instead NHSEO was not able to do the same automatically? This blog is AA and not need moderation.

My advice would be to send me a link to the website and I will have a look, you can post here, PM or email me. I don't wanna spend ages guessing at what could be the case but the chances are that it is a comment awaiting moderation or the blog is incompatible with NHSEO. It won't take me long to figure out what is actually happening here.

I looked at the website and it does appear to be somewhat easy approve but the first comment with a link I posted was added to moderation queue but did pop up later, I then tried with an akismet banned domain and it was rejected but later another comment without a link was accepted.

I didn't want to spam the page too much but if you have a couple more examples of blogs that did not work with NHSEO I will look into it further.

Is the domain you posted with in akismet as it could have been blocked that way. I do know that blog uses akismet and it would explain the lack of spam comments on the blog.
