Seems stuck on "Threads setup"

Postby humboldt » Sat Apr 21, 2012 12:31 pm

Have been running NHSEO successfully on a Windows VPS, when I went to check on it and seemed stuck on "Threads setup", even though the progress bar seems to be going nuts, but nothing is happening.

So I decided to upgrade to 172, since I thought that was the problem, upgraded successfully, but still no change.

Can you anyone shed some clues ?

Thanks !

You need to look in the log to see what is actually happening, what you are referring to is just a simple status label it is not meant to be for giving full information of what is happening, this is what is in the log.

Have you added your profile and left it active when you press the start button?

I am aware that a few users are seeing this issue, if you could zip or rar the DATABASE.db3 file from your "My Documents\No Hands SEO" folder and upload it to mediafire.com and then send the download link to my support email address (support[aat]nohandsseo.com) I would be very appreicative. With the db I should be able to see what is causing the issue.

Also are you running any sort of Av scanner or secuirty software on your machine?

Hmm, I am sorta dead in the water, I never had the issue before, in fact never had any issues, ....nothing different than before, just updated, then nothing going on but the issue above. The fix is?

I have just updated to v1.7.5 which fixes this issue you should update as soon as you get chance.

As a side note this update actually makes running without proxies possible again and will probably actually be more effective running without proxies rather than with the proxy harvester (what this bug related to). If you want to see how running without proxies works you should go to Settings=>Proxy Settings and uncheck the "Use Proxies" checkbox in the "Proxies for Searching" controls and also uncheck the "Use Proxy Harvester" option. Then save the settings and restart the app (to be sure all harvested proxies are cleared).

Hi, I just upgraded to 175 as well. But it still does not work, it doesn't display the same error message anymore, but seems to be stuck,
I have sent you the database and an email.
Thanks in advance !

I'm sorry but I can't figure out what is or isn't happening wthout any details. You need to look in your log and tell me what is happening in there, I would be very surprised if nothing is happening.

Seems to be working now again, thanks.
However, am sending you a copy of my last log report to get some advice as to whether what is being reported is 'normal'. Cheers !
