Proxy Goblin v Proxy Harvester

Postby sgt_bilko » Fri Feb 24, 2012 2:46 pm

I haven't used NHS since just before the built in proxy harvester was introduced and I wondered what kind of experiences others have found compared to using Proxy Goblin or possibly a VPN. I was previously using Proxy Goblin, which worked well in terms of automation but the back linking success rate at the time was just about zero.

I had almost zero luck with proxy goblin, and now that the proxy harvester is built in, I'm getting confirmed links again. I'm not getting the kind of success I got prior to the need for proxy's, but overall, I am getting confirmed links with just the push of a button. I haven't taken the time to investigate any of the links lately, so I can't confirm the overall quality, but all the same, I'm getting free confirmed backlinks without having to do any work, so I think it's doing it's job.

I'm positive, I was using proxy goblin and it was horrible. Maybe it was just me, but the links would burn out rapidly and it would be constantly looking for new ones and it just didn't work for me. Again, I hate to knock the program, but it didn't work with NHSEO for me.

play around with the settings its trial and error "WHAT Works best with Your Connection speed/cpu ram power speed". it works very well and finds a large amount of anonymous proxies for me with no effort at all once you get all the settings right. make sure you are using the latest versions of hohandsseo and proxy goblin and the ports required for the programs to run are open etc... :D

After quite a bit of testing I actually found the way PG works and the speed it does it makes it far more suitable for finding proxies than PM. If you guys are struggling to get proxy harvesters to work with NHSEO (stand alone harvesters should perform better than the built in NHSEO one) there is a thread in the guides section called How to setup a proxy harvester app with NHSEO

With these settings I was getting great results with NHSEO, not quite at the same level as with private proxies but better results than using the built in harvester as there is no need to stop posting and harvest/check proxies so NHSEO can concentrate on what it does best and get lots of backlinks.
