Has Anyone Had Problems Testing Captcha Sniper Inside NHSEO?

Postby Charles » Mon Jun 09, 2014 9:37 pm

I has having so much trouble in running my tests
with Captcha Sniper inside No Hands SEO, that I
contacted the support staff at:

license@captchasniper.com

for help. Once I was able to get someone to help
me, he connected with my computer from a remote
location, and was able to access both my No Hands
SEO and Captcha Sniper software.

He told me that as far as he saw, my settings were
fine. All I needed to do was to simply run a campaign
and I'll see captchas appearing and being solved
inside Captcha Sniper.

As for those messages that kept appearing every
time I tested my Captcha Sniper settings inside
No Hands SEO that said:

================================
Captcha Types 1, 16, 28, 30 needs to be enabled
in Captcha Sniper for it to work correctly.

Alternatively, you can simply select the "Use
Captcha Platform For Detection" in the settings
menu of Captcha Sniper.
================================

Those messages are/were simply old bits of code
based on a PREVIOUS version of Captcha Sniper,
and Jim the No Hands author needs to remove them
because they're giving a false impression of
failed tests outcomes whenever Captcha Sniper is
run inside No Hands SEO.

The video about how to integrate Captcha Sniper
with No Hands SEO is correct, it's just that
unless and until Jim decides to remove those old
bits of code from a previous version of Captcha
Sniper, people who choose to use Captcha Sniper
as their captcher solving service, will continue
seeing a failed test outcome like the message
below:
=================================
Captcha Types 1, 16, 28, 30 needs to be enabled
in Captcha Sniper for it to work correctly.

Alternatively, you can simply select the "Use
Captcha Platform For Detection" in the settings
menu of Captcha Sniper.
=================================

This message is FALSE. But how can anyone know
that unless and until someone who knows how
Captcha Sniper is to be set up, can see for
themselves if everything is the way it's supposed
to be or not?

According to what I was told by the staff member
who helped me, once CS is integrated with No Hands
SEO as the video explains, all one needs to do is
begin running their campaigns, and the captchas will
be solved correctly, despite seeing messages about
captcha types needing to be enabled inside NHSEO.

What you have been told is not entirely correct. NHSEO will test 4 types of captcha (previously known by CS as Type 1, 16, 28 and 30) and that is where the message comes from. The test is not invalid in the slightest, the majority of captchas will be those 4 and recaptchas, as CS (and all software) are not really capable of solving recaptcha reliably there is little point in testing that.

If yoru CS setup is failing all 4 types of captcha tested then in my opinion it is not setup correctly. If you see captchas being attempted in CS when you hit the test button then NHSEO is sending the captcha and it is being attempted by CS but not correctly being solved.

I will get in touch with CS support to get them to send me a newer version than the one I have to test out why their newer versions seem to be solving less of the test captchas than in previous versions.

I think it is very unfair for them to suggest that there is somehow something wrong with the test code when all it does is send 4 captchas and checks that they are correct when the response is returned. The only thing that is old about the test code is that the message refers to them by type 1, 16, 28 and 30, the captchas and the test itself is perfectly valid.

I just tested CS 4.5 with a fresh install of CS 4.5 (no changes to settings) and with NHSEO fresh install (no change to settings) and it attempted the 4 test captchas as is expected and correctly solved 3 of them.

I have now updated the captcha sniper test in NHSEO and CS will attempt to solve all captchas in the test in the next update of No Hands SEO. This however will not stop the current versions of NHSEO and CS from working with each other before the next update of NHSEO is released.
