Links to 2.0 sites

If I want to build links to 2.0 sites does the links have to fall into the same niche/category as the 2.0 sites or doesn?t it matter where the links come from?

Generally if the web2.0 sites have some good authority the relevancy won't matter quite as much so you can be a bit more relaxed about the type of links you build to them. If anyone else has any opinions on this feel free to post them, it never hurts to get more ideas on these matters.

I've found that building low OBL links seems to help. I haven't tried building links from other categories of websites, but maybe that would be something worth trying out.
