Linkcheck - App not responding

Postby MSP » Tue Jan 01, 2013 11:06 am

Hi

I installed the trial version 1.7.18.0 yesterday and ran a check test for max 20 links. This completed and I then ran the linkcheck. This appeared to be doing little, a spinning icon etc. and 'Not responding' in the app title bar. I gave it overnight, about ten hours or so, and this morning I manually ended the program from windows task manager. I am running the linkcheck again but wanted to check just how long such a task should take? Is ten hours without completion for so few links to be expected?

I am running a reasonable spec PC, Core i5 3570k cpu at 4.2Ghz, 24GB ram

Many thanks for any help.

There was a bug in that version that has been fixed for a while in the paid version. I will be updating the trial to v2 in the next week or two so I can only really recommend trying it again then. All users that have used the trial in the past will be able to try v2 out so you can carry on using the current trial and just check back then.

Just so you know the new trial has been delayed slightly due to server issues. Hopefully the server issues are done now we have moved so I can get an updated trial out.
