Some Really Good Links

Postby mccullek » Thu Apr 05, 2012 1:51 am

Jimbo, just wanted to drop you a note and tell you that I'm really pleased with some of the links I'm getting with NHSEO. I did a link check today on one of my websites and I was really surprised at the PR of some of my links. Out of 200 confirmed links for one of my sites, I had at least 50 confirmed links that were PR 5 or better! I had a couple of PR 9 trackbacks, but several PR 7 blog comments! I expected to find a few PR 1 or 2 links, but was really pleasantly surprised when I saw the PR 7, 8 and 9 backlinks. Thanks for a great product!!!!

What did you use to check your backlinks from NHSEO? Just curious.
Did you use the "Check Links" feature on the program itself or did you actually use an external checker?

Thanks in Advance. -Clip

I imagine it was the Check Links tool in NHSEO but I am not too sure.

You can check as often or as infrequently as you want. Personally the only times I ever check the links is when I need to show someone the type of links NHSEO is capable of producing. I don't waste my time doing it for my own curiosity, I would rather my NHSEO be creating links than looking back over the links it has already created.

Thanks for the quick replies.

I've tried to check the links (just to make sure it's actually working) but it keeps freezing on me (not responding).

It's the free trial version 1.7.18.0 - it says there is an update available - tried installing that but every time I open it up it still says version 1.7.18.0.

I've tried selecting different link types to check but every time it still freezes.

Any ideas?

It will appear to freeze for a short while while it pulls records from the database. Once it has pulled the results it will begin checking as usual.

The bigger the database and slower the computer the longer this will take. The amount of time needed to pull all records from the database is highly dependant on HDD and CPU speed of your computer, a quick processor and an SSD and you won't notice much more than a second or two of delay but if the database gets larger on slower machines it can take a little while.

The trial was left at 1.7.18 for a short while for development reasons, I am currently transitioning huge chunks of the program to a newer more efficient way of storing and retrieving records (amongst many other major improvements) and v1.7.18 hasn't received any bug reports in over 2 months now so even though it is missing some of the more recent features it will work fully and eventually be updated.
