How to use proxy harvesting tools with NHSEO

If you are looking for the best proxy harvester I can strongly advise No Hands Proxies. It is incredibly easy to setup, has lots of great "how-to" videos, is currently able to get hundreds of usable proxies and is obviously very easy to use with No Hands SEO.

As so many people are contacting me to ask how to use proxy harvesting tools with No Hands SEO I thought I would write this quick guide:

How to setup your proxy harvester app:
1) Check for usability with your chosen search engine (in No Hands Proxies just choose Google)
2) Set it to output the proxies to a file (preferably in your My Documents folder)
If you are using No Hands Proxies that is all you need to do, skip to the next section to see how to setup No Hands SEO to use these proxies.
3) *Only if NOT using No Hands Proxies* Set it to harvest no more than 50-100 working proxies before outputting to file (anything more will result in a huge delay between fresh proxies being sent to NHSEO) (this does not apply to No Hands Proxies due to the way it handles re-checking of proxies)
4) *Only if NOT using No Hands Proxies* Set the delay between searching to as short a time as possible so you get the freshest proxies possible for your setup

Now that is done you will want to go into NHSEO:
1) Go to Settings=>Proxy tab
2) Check the "Use Proxies" checkbox and the boxes next to the jobs that you want to use the proxies for.
3) Click the Browse button and select your proxy file
4) Check the "Continually Update Searching Proxies From File?" box
5) Set "Load From File Delay(ms)" option to anywhere from 60,000 (1minutes) to 300,000 (5minutes)
6) Press Save

Done.

Hi, I do not understand proxies. Would appreciate some basic instructions on how to get them.
Do I have to go somewhere and make accounts to use proxies? If so - where do I go, please?

This guide shows how to integrate a 3rd party proxy harvesting tool for use with NHSEO. You do not sign up for proxies, you either use a tool to find you public proxies which are generally slow and unreliable or you purchase some private proxies from one of the hundreds of proxy providers.

If you are not sure what you are doing with proxies simply use the built in proxy harvester until you are confident with what you are doing. There is a guide for setting up the proxy harvester in NHSEO on this forum.

very useful thread. thank you
why does the "proxy for posting" load from file allow me to select the exact location of the proxy's text file but the
"proxies for searching" right side box only shows the directory where the .txt proxy file is located from proxy goblin and not the exact .txt file??
i only have the use proxy's for searching side checked. i dont have the use proxys for posting side checked.

I think it is just the slightly different sizes of the fields, the control is limiting what is being shown. All of the information is in there it just isn't quite visible all of the time.

I can not connect No Hands Seo with Proxy Goblin, I searched on this forum but I not found nothing explained more clearly.
If I use Proxy Goblin longer need to use option "Proxy Harvester" on the proxy section? I do not understand very well this section :(

If you are using Proxy Goblin to harvest your proxies you should not have the proxy harvester enabled. You just need to set the settings as mentioned in this thread to get any proxy harvester working with NHSEO.

I had NHSEO setup to work with Proxy Goblin a while ago, but had to format my computer.

Now when I try to find the guide I once used (most likely found on warriorforum) I cannot find it again.

In Proxy Goblin there is a plugin for NHSEO, but I do not think your guide is mentioning that? NHSEO seems to discard most of the proxies I find with Proxy Harvester and I get 0 comments posted.. If I disable the load of proxies from the .txt file and use the ones build into NHSEO I do get comments posted - so something is wrong with the proxies from Proxy Goblin somehow..

It used to work fine:( Can you explain how the plugin works? I have not been able to use NHSEO as it was meant to, for a quite a while now.
