Category Promotion Choice

Would it be possible to add a Profile Promotion Choice of a category on a site so that NHSEO could crawl just that categories posts? That way we could target just those posts with relevant comments. It would be very useful to be able to target different groups of posts instead of a one size fits all. I understand that backlinks are backlinks either way, but targeted relevant backlinks would be better. We could also target separate keywords and anchor text to that profile as well. After all, not all sites are about one subject.

It would be better to add in different groups of pages in as page profiles and use the controls in the Add Profile Wizard to target specific keywords if that is how you wish to promote your pages. This way you can have your specific group fo pages you want to promote and have a specific set of search keywords and anchor texts. It is currently possible to set specific anchor texts per page using the Profile Handler Page tab.

I understand but I was just hoping there was a way to automate getting those group of posts by being able to just request them with the category name. Luckily, I have a plugin that I use that has an easy way to export those post by category to do just what you said to do. I'm ready to get more done now. Thanks

I'll add an option to "crawl only pages that contain X" option to the profile handler which should allow for what you suggest.
