Change Keyword text box to a TMemo field

Postby TheEditor » Sun Jan 01, 2012 7:26 pm

I'd like more space so that I can see the words I've already typed into the Keyword field. Don't want to unnecessarily repeat myself. Plus I'm often putting in various forms of the same word - different tenses - and I need to see everything I've already entered. I find myself doing it in a text editor - shameless plug here for EditPad Pro! - then copying & pasting into nhSEO.

I am not sure what a TMemo input is, I am assuming this is something from another coding language or IDE. There shouldn't be a need to add in many multiple different versions of your keywords as they will be searched for automatically by NHSEO so if this is why you want the extra (visible) space it isn't necessary.

Sorry about that. I'm a Delphi programmer and I tend to write as though everyone else is too. A memo field instead of an one line edit box is what I'm looking for.

I appreciate that nhSEO will probably get to those other versions of my keyword. But it can't hurt to give it a nudge. Otherwise why have the field at all?

It probably won't hurt at all no but it is a waste of time in most situations. The field is there to allow the user to enter in search keywords that are relevant to the website, it wasn't exactly designed to be a field to enter in 100+ keywords.

In the vast majority of cases it is more than sufficient to enter in 3-10 keywords and let NHSEO find the rest. Anything approaching 25+ keywords really is just using more time than is needed.

I agree re: keyword count. But once you get past 4 or 5 words you can't see everything. I regularly use keywords that are 10-12 letters and space runs out quickly even when I've only got 7 or 8 words.

Yeah I hear what you are saying. I'll look into it, it may or may not get added but if I can increase the size enough without bunching up the rest of the UI I will do it. I want to change the main UI in a later update so even if it isn't added in the short term it could well find its way into the tool in Feb or March.
