Google Panda and Google Penguin are they going to ruin my ranking because I use "No Hands SEO" to produce backlinking, and if not can you please explain why?

Panda was about 3 years ago and Penguin was released well over a year ago. There are many people still ranking with No Hands SEO. Neither update effectively targeted link building in any meaningful way.
