Is this a bluff?

Postby Nina » Tue May 21, 2013 8:07 am

Hi
I've tried No Hands SEO from 3 different machines, for my 3 sites. It looks to me as a bluff.
2 sites are in English, the third is in German. I got the same "weird" results...
I will refer to the German site, but this is correct for all the 3 sites:
When the software works, let's say for a week, the site shows a 200-300% increase in visiting the sites. At the German site, I could check it deeply, as I use only German keywords words or sentences. Up to using NHS, 95% of visits were from the German speaking countries (Germany Austria and Switzerland). Now, after a week, getting 300% more visits, no one from these countries, but mostly from the U.S., mostly from 3 servers. I assume that it was caused by the NHS crawling. Any of the NHS "accepted links" checked by me in almost real time, haven't contained any link to the German site.
This is exactly relevant to the other sites - nothing which can prove me that the "visitors" are not just NHS crawlers.
What do yo think about?
I'll be happy to know that I am wrong, that there is a way checking all this.
Foe almost 100 bucks, I need a real proof, not a uncle/sister/...family testimonials.
I'll appreciate any assistance.

I don't know what stats you are using but NHSEO is very unlikely to visit your website after the first day as it will have crawled the pages by that point and has no reason to re-visit unless you have it set to re-crawl every X days.

If you are using Google analytics then not a single visit that is recorded is from NHSEO as it does not process any JavaScript and as such is not detectable by google, lots of other online stats apps work in the same way and as such won't be affected by NHSEO crawling the website.

Also I would like to add that not a single testimonial is fake, from a friend or any type of accomplice. All testimonials are from genuine users of the tool and this can be seen from the fact that they were posted on multiple different websites, forums and blogs. No Hands SEO has been on the market for 2 years and there has not been a single legitimate claim of it being a scam or shady in any way so you can be sure there is absolutely no funny business going on with NHSEO artificially inflating visitor numbers

Hi,
I am using statcounter.
OK, I'll let the sites "resting" for a week, and I'll try installing the trial again. If I'll be able installing it, I'll check it for a week again.
Meantime, after 2 days without NHS, the stats shows me shows a decreasing visitor activity by approx. 50%. On the German site, I still see the activity from the same 3 servers, considerably less than the activity I got at the time NHS was installed.
What is the explanation that at the same day I've installed NHS it was an increase by 200%, then 300% - and just after 2 days the activity returns almost to "normal"? I am talking about all 3 sites.
Most visitors on all my 3 sites come from Automattic, Inc. - a web development corporation.
I'll check again after a week (I don't know if it is possible reinstalling the trial version), and I'll be happy if I am wrong.
Anyway, I'd like getting an answer about one issue: I checked in real time the NHS log's "successful" links. I couldn't find any link regarding my sites. I've checked more than 300 links from each site, not even one "successful" post.
Thank you.

If a lot of your visits are coming from something/someone called Automattic Inc then it is likely that it is some form of crawler. In fact you can read here that that is exactly what it is. This is nothing to do with NHSEO directly but is likely because of the activity around your site based on what NHSEO is doing, i.e. building links, pinging and posting to whois and stats sites.

A week is a very short amount of time to see any lasting and meaningful improvement to your search rankings and the result is always dependant on how the tool is used and the trial is more to show that the tool works for generating links. As anyone can see it is incredibly easy to generate links with NHSEO and you can see that these links generate attention (hence extra crawlers etc) so it definitely does its job. The effect these links have on your rankings and traffic is very dependant on how you enter your profile.

As for your question about looking at a successful post and not seeing a link, this is explained in the new common questions section of the forum, more specifically the thread titled "Why do I not see a link on a successful post?.

Also if you reinstall the trial after a week it won't work as it is a 7 day trial and will only work for 7 days. I think it is very obvious that the tool works exactly as described and is actually so much more powerful than the 2 year old sales pitch even claims as the tool has undergone a hue amount of development over this time.

OK Sir,
Thank you for your reply.
I'll ask a friend who has a licensed, 2013 version, to let me run my sites on his computer for 30 days. When I asked him why he is not using the NHSEO for his site, he told me that he had exactly the same concerns, and he thought after a month quitting using it . He used it for 2 months, and saved the logs. We checked together the log for "confirmed links". From 1540 results, we found 2 "living links". Maybe I'll be luckier.
If indeed I'll find any living links from my sites, I'll be happy to purchase this program, and even promote it (for free) on my sites.
Meantime, I'll further check the placement on 3 different main search engines.

Why would your friend not just get in touch with me? If he wasn't sure what he was looking at I could have just explained to him/her that they could just right click on a profile and output a full list of confirmed links and browse through at their leisure, also if you are only getting 2 links out of 1500+ successful posts then there is definitely something wrong with the setup, most likely bad proxies or overly long anchor texts.

As I have stated previously NHSEO is absolutely proven to generate hundreds to thousands of links daily without any user intervention, I even have profiles from last August that are still having links created daily, no other tool can do this without any user intervention. My test server (which contains these profiles) is only ever stopped for an update and to update proxies unless I need to test something specific, it is also a very slow single core machine that is only capable of about 40 total threads so it is far from even a moderate machine.

Don't forget to massively vary your anchor texts, and preferably use the new options for using generic anchor texts as Google loves variation in anchor texts these days.
