Very poor results after 7 days

Postby BladeDrops » Tue Mar 20, 2012 3:43 pm

Greetings everyone,

I'm a bit confused and clueless of what's wrong with the program.
Normally we should be able to create a profile and keep it running while the program keeps looking for links.

After 7 days of running the software, I've got 97 confirmed links. I've stopped the profile, restarted today, and after about 5 hours I've got 7 confirmed links.

Althougheter this seems very, very low and I wonder if someone would be able to help me out here.
Might be doing something wrong, although I left everything on default settings except for max threads. Changed the value to150.

Kind regards,
BladeDrops

It really depends on how you have the tool setup. Using the inbuilt proxy harvester (as opposed to a third party software or private proxies) will use posting time to find proxies, slow searching and limit the number of results. If you only have 1 searching thread and lots of profiles you will be limited to how many results can be searched for. Keywords have a large impact on number of links, if you have PR or Outbound link limit you coul potentially remove any chance of getting links.

The above examples of things that could cause low number of links are just some of the common things that could cause the problem. I would suggest you to give more of an idea about your other settings and post your log here after posting for a whileor send it to me via PM or email if you don't want to post details about your websites.

Thanks for the reply jimbobo,

However, I didn't change any of the settings after installing. Neither did I change PR and I only run 1 profile (1 url), so this can't be the problem either.

Any other ideas?

Like I said there are so many things it could be, including windows settings or other software, so it would be a huge undertaking to guess until something works. The easiest option is for you to either send me your DATABASE.db3 file from the "My Documents\No Hands SEO" folder or setup TeamViewer and send me the details to it so I can login to your system and see how you have it setup.

I had a similar problem:

I added in about 10 profiles roughly one week ago.

I ran the program for a week and got a lot of "comfirmed links" (less live links).

I stopped the program for a few days. Now when I rerun it all of the profiles are stuff at the same numbers of confirmed links. Is there some kind of limit I've reached?

Note: For the 10 profiles, the average number of confirmed links is 41, but most have about 1-5 live links.

Thanks,
Tom

Ah. Also; I did try changing the keywords for all of the profiles but it didn't change anything.

There isn't some kind of limit or restrictions on how many links can be made. Generally when people mention things like this it is a problem with the proxy setup or too much stopping and starting of the app, the most efficient way to run the tool is to leave it running.

Would U suggest to change proxy settings then? And if so... how?
I'm new to internet marketing in general and SEO, so I do not want to start working with proxy tools just yet.

Proxies needn't be a particularly daunting thing.

Private proxies are very easy to setup, literally copy and paste from an email/website from your provider and save settings and you are ready to use them. Proxy Harvesting tools aren't that hard either, there is a guide in this forum on how to optimally setup your harvesting tool for use with NHSEO:
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=126

You may require a small amount of assistance from the proxy harvesting tool (if that), in case the terminology of the tool is slightly different but generally it is a case of once they are setup you needn't touch them again.

Every time a user has contacted me for support with proxy settings they have been absolutely amazed at how much difference it can make to the number of links they can create, the difference really is night and day.

Those proxies are from February, proxies need to be constantly checked (checking every hour is not even enough). Since v1.7.3 running without proxies for searching tends to be more efficient than using the inbuilt proxy harvester.
