Articles - Use downloaded media

Postby liveincan » Thu Apr 23, 2015 5:21 am

I am attempting to rank a money site using a high quality, manually spun 500 word article that shows 90% uniqueness. The images downloaded using the "Download Random Images" link are irrelevant and in some cases link back to the website's competitors. I have my own images I wish to use with my manually spun article.

The workaround I am using is to upload my images to Photobucket, then spin the 100 image urls into one long list which I then add to the article. Unfortunately, this is time consuming and prone to errors. The ability to paste my list of url's into the images list in the "Download Random Media" dialog box or import the list from a text file would really help. Is there another way to add my own images to the article or will this be something to consider for a new feature request?

Thanks for the great software.

Embedding HTML Code within article

Postby liveincan » Fri Apr 24, 2015 3:09 am

I have the following example code in my article: {<img src="http://i621.photobucket.com/albums/tt299/liveincan/supplements/1eba5239-530f-4567-b8f2-b1bb2bd57cbf_zpstcfnggf7.jpg" alt="supplements">|<img src="http://i621.photobucket.com/albums/tt299/liveincan/supplements/e0867802-f0f5-4bef-9210-ab0e3cc146a4_zpsqb7csqg1.jpg" alt="supplements">}

If I select ""Random Position" or ""Random End of Sentence" option in the "Where to place your link" drop-down box, the links are sometimes placed within the image code. This breaks the image code causing a html error. This also happens if I select the "Insert Random Links into Articles?" check-box. Please see this image: http://prntscr.com/6xgpy0 In this example, the link tag with the keyword "nutrition" is placed within the image tag.

Could this issue be resolved if we are able to add images via the "Download Random Media" dialog box?

Articles - Insert Tag button Not Working

Postby liveincan » Fri Apr 24, 2015 3:44 am

The "Insert Tag" button in: Profile Handler -> Posting Content -> Articles -> Edit Article -> Manual Article Form does not work. Clicking it does nothing.

I will have to take a look at this and release an update to fix it as it is very likely something code related, it definitely shouldn't be doing it. It shouldn't do it when doing it all automatically but I will also have to look into it to check.

I'll look to get this added as a feature, thanks for the suggestion.

You're right, I'll get this fixed in the next update.

Articles - Preview always shows random position link

Postby liveincan » Fri May 01, 2015 2:50 pm

Articles Tab -> Edit Article -> Preview always shows random position link - regardless of option chosen in the "Where to place your link" drop-down box. However, if Preview Article(s) is selected directly from list of articles, it works correctly.

If I manually insert %LINK% in the article and correctly select "Only replace tags", Edit Article -> Preview shows the variable %LINK% - not the actual anchor text.

I ran a number of tests with the image code embedded in the article and in most cases, the code is being modified. I have emailed support the spun article with the image code for you to test. You will find that with each click of the "Preview Article(s)" button, we get a different result.

Articles - Insert Random Links into Articles

Postby liveincan » Fri May 01, 2015 3:02 pm

I selected "Insert Random Links into Articles". It created this link in the preview article screen: http://www.bbc.co.uk/search/?q=%ANCHOR-URLENCODED%
Shouldn't the %ANCHOR-URLENCODED% be replaced with a keyword?
