BSOD evertime I use it?

Postby goldenbible » Sat Dec 10, 2011 11:28 pm

Hello,

I've tried downloading the trial version onto two Windows computers and one Windows desktop. Every single time, between 5 and 30 minutes, I'll get a Blue Screen of Death. Usually saying one of the following:

PFN List Corrupt

Error Exception

Or some other bothersome message. -- Here's my stats:

Version: 1.6.16.0

Type: Trial

What I was doing: Nothing. I simply put the profile in, exactly as was showed in the manual and hit the green go button.

What I expected to happen: For everything to work fine.

What exactly the error or errors say: the most common is PFN List Corrupt, but I get others. I can't really remember what they said (I'm not completely sure that the Error Exception one actually said that in those exact words...).

How often it happens: Every 5-30 minutes after starting it.

It's not posting related.

Hope you guys can help! Thanks,

Joshua

No app should be able to create a BSOD, other than drivers or select OS level services. If you are experiencing BSOD errors it would suggest an issue with windows or some component in your system. As NHSEO can be quite intensive on a system if your motherboard, CPU, memory, HDD or windows install are faulty you may experience BSOD errors but they are not a good thing and you may want to investigate the weak link your system.

NHSEO is a run at a high level in the OS and does not interact with any drivers or services after loading up so unless it is caused on load up it would suggest an issue with the system (either windows, some driver or a hardware issue)
