Page Post URL Bad Word and Min PR Errors

Postby 4Sight » Tue Jul 15, 2014 7:47 pm

I was checking my logs for my first project and am getting a lot of these:

Code: Select all
Failed: Post Page URL Bad Word - wordpress.com >> http://craftapple.wordpress.com/2014/02/28/economy-block-quilt/
Failed: Post Page URL Bad Word - wordpress.com >> http://faithandsociety.wordpress.com/2005/03/26/save-larry-summers-censure-albert-mohler/
Failed: Post Page URL Bad Word - wordpress.com >> http://kesmodel.wordpress.com/2006/11/17/marchex-tests-domain-parking-waters-and-theyre-murky/

I don't have any 'bad words' added in settings as far as I know - using defaults. What is this error?

Also it seems like I have to set minimum pr to -1 to get anything to pass, at"Domain" and "0", I get a lot of mim pr failures,
is this normal?

Also getting a lot of "page is down", and "couldn't determine platform" errors in log. Is this normal?

I am using NHSEO proxies, 45 and 5, they are passing, posting proxies are anonymous, search proxies are Google testested and
they show as good when I test them in NHSEO. Also using NHSEO Pinger and Indexer which all seem to be working well.

As the message states the bad word in the domain is wordpress.com and those pages are on the wordpress.com domain. These are blocked because even though in most cases it is possible to post a link and the link will be accepted it will be taken down within minutes as all of the comment systems on wordpress.com are linked and they know straight away. This just results in no links and eventually could get your posting IPs listed on spam sites, overall a waste of time and effort.

You can see the list of badwords in the domain list in the Settings of NHSEO.

If you have it set to block posting on domains without PR then it will not post to domains without PR. If the proxies you are using are not up to snuff you will find that more domains are tested as having no PR and therefore less links able to be posted due to failed PR. If you haven't yet you should check this video to see exactly how NHP and NHSEO should be setup together. Without seeing your actual log though it is impossible to say whether everything looks normal.
