Trying to Upgrade to V2.0.3

Postby Davefethiye » Sun Jan 13, 2013 5:45 pm

Hi,

I purchased and had been using NHSEO for a couple of months and then
have been doing other work.

Today when I went to use it, I noticed that there was an upgrade to V2.0.3

I currently have v1.7.7.0

When I clicked on the upgrade link I got the message:

C:\Documents and Settings\Daivid\My Documents\No Hands SEO\InstalerUpdater.exe Can not be found Check Path

I looked, and found the Folder and it is true, there is no "InstalerUpdater.exe " in the folder.

I then logged into the members ares and tried to download the 6.3 Mb installer package, but I got a
virus alert from ESET NOD32 Antivirus and I think that may have blocked the download.

I am running Chrome.

How can I get my NHSEO upgraded and running ?

Thanks.

I checked it out and sure enough for some reason ESET was giving a false positive on the installer, I have repacked it and uploaded it again so you should be able to get it fine now.

This does happen from time to time with a few of the less reliable AVs (though it is the first ESET false positive from memory) and there is little I can do to stop it from happening. I used to send off my executable to the AV companies to get false positives removed by them manually whitelisting it but by the time they had checked it out and whitelisted it NHSEO was on the next version and the cycle would start again.

False positives have been a lot rarely recently however and hopefully it doesn't happen again any time soon. If you are still unable to download and install the update you can always manually whitelist the .exe and/or turn ESET off temporarily while you download and install the latest version. I can guarantee that it is just a false positive and does not pose a threat to your system.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply and the "repack".

I successfully downloaded it and upgraded. :)
