The Settings tab really just controls a group of other tabs which have lots of different application wide settings.

Each of these tabs is fully explained in the respective pages below:

4) c. Profile Settings Group of controls for varying profile posting settings
4) d. Indexing Integrate Indexing services and software
4) e. Platform Select and deselect platforms for use in posting
