Anchor length and "loading" animation

Postby Vlad » Thu Jun 27, 2013 3:47 am

Hi Jim

I want to know how to behave NoHandSeo when an anchor is too big or does not have the characters accepted.

Nohand he tries another anchor or the message is not it approved ?
The anchor in question could it be removed to improve performance ?

Bar "loading" (animation) at the bottom left of No Hand Seo must use the CPU cache memory and may be replaced (for example) by 3 LEDs (Green, orange and red), which should further improve General performance.

This might not seem minimal, but this kind of optimization put end to end increase the number of post/min.

Often when the anchor is too long the site will either appear to have accepted it or just outright refuse it without giving reason so there isn't a way to know if the post failed due to the anchor. The size limitation isn't quite as strict now as there are more platforms that do accept long anchor texts but it will still limit the amount of accepted links on the other platforms that do have the limitation. The best thing to do is make use of the built in Text Rewriter when writing out your anchors or comments and getting them right first time as it is not a simple task to remove sections of spun text as it could have very unintended consequences.

The progress bar (loading symbol) actually uses a tiny fraction of a CPUs available resources and as such wouldn't help to speed things up much as in almost all scenarios the system limit comes from the hard drive speed, even on an SSD, as all info is stored in a local SQLite database. As it happens I am actually working on a fairly large update that will hopefully streamline the whole process of saving and loading data from the database for the next update.

Jim thank you for the answer.

Personally I do not worry to the point because I install NOHANDSEO on a ramdisk :) (which I recommend to those who have enough ram and stable PC).

I was holding you congratulated your last day have hugely increased the number of post / min. (Version 2.10.4.0 is really impressive 24129 post for less of 2 days).

I think many people will decide to buy No Hand Seo with this result !!!

This optimization of the database given history going very definitely still improve performance, ... thank you.
