Proxies, custom comments, etc.

Postby lotsalinx » Tue Mar 20, 2012 12:10 am

I finally purchased NHSEO yesterday and have some questions:

I have a pack of 5 proxies from myprivateproxy.net. I am using 2 for the search/post needs of one website in NHSEO. What happens if I add another website, but don't assign it a private proxy for search/post needs?
The other 3 are being used for an automated program called TweetAdder, which runs 24/7. Can I take one of those and re-use it for the new NHSEO website site? Actually, the new website has a twitter account with it's own proxy so I was wondering if it could also be used in NHSEO

I'm confused about the custom comments file. I got a warning after install which read something like: 'no custom comments file' but there's no information regarding these. Is it just a .txt file? How should the comments be layed out? How many need to be in there???

P.S. I have this set at PR3 for the limit

Having just 2 proxies for searching is unlikely to prevent any limitation by Yahoo. I would say 5 would be a minimum for running with 1 searching thread for reliable running for long time.

Profiles and proxies are handled independantly not designated to each other so you could have 100 profiles and 5 proxies or 100 proxies and 2 profiles depending on your needs. Using the proxies in both tools really depends on any connection limits you may have on your proxies and whether your other tool is running multiple threads. I would think you should be fine to use the same proxies in both but if you are using any proxies for posting you will need to check that your max threads is not higher than the connection limit of your proxies.

As the message bout custom comments states it will just use the default comments when custom comments are not added. Custom comments are there so you can enter in your own comments if you want extra relavancy on your linking pages, they should be quite highly spun so there are plenty of variances but also legible.

If you are using a PR limit then you will need more proxies in your searching proxies list. Google is quite strict on PR requests and if you have it set at 15 max threads then you could be doing hundreds of PR requests every minute. Personally I would never arbitrarily limit my links as you neevr know which pages will in future be given a higher PR or which high PR sites will be lowered soon after placing your link.

well I should add that my primary site is a PR3. The second one I'm thinking of adding is PR4. Also, I have a 3rd site that is PR1 - That's the reason for the limit, but the functionality itself seems to be a red flag -

The PR of your website is not really relevant to the links you gain for your website. It doesn't matter what PR your website currently is.
