Merge databases?

Postby dot » Tue Feb 21, 2012 1:24 pm

Is it possible to merge two NHS databases?

I was using it and had problems, which I think were either my computer or me stuffing up settings somewhere.

So when the new upgrade came out a few days ago, I installed a fresh install on my other computer. All is running perfectly, but I would like to merge in everything that NHS has already done from my old computer. If so, how do I do it please?

There isn't a way. Are you trying to merge profiles from one DB to another DB or are you wanting to merge two like profiles into one?

All the same profiles. But, one set up on older computer and is NHSEO- the version prior to the latest update. The other is setup on second computer with latest NHSEO update.
Just wondered if I can move the older database to my newer computer & merge with the NHSEO database there.

You can move them but not merge them. merging database with like profiles would likely result in issues as ID numbers were duplicated or over-written.
