As V1.6 is such a massive update to the code of No Hands SEO it involves just a couple of extra steps to retain all of your profiles and settings in the latest version. The database is now saved in a different section of your hard drive so you will need to copy your existing database to the new directory to have all of your profiles and settings applied to your new install.
1) Login to Members Area and download the “No Hands SEO Installer V1.6.0″ file.
2) Install the file as usual
3) Go to your old install directory (in case it is different to your new install folder), this will normally be “C:\No Hands SEO” or “C:\Program Files\No Hands SEO”
4) Copy the “DATABASE.db3″ file by right-clicking on the file and choosing “Copy”
5) Go to your “My Documents” folder, you should see a folder in here called “No Hands SEO”
6) Go into this “No Hands SEO” folder
7) Now right-click on the background (not any other file or folder but some white space) and choose “Paste”
Give your permission to overwrite the “DATABASE.db3″ file and wait for it to finish transferring
After step 8 you should notice windows over write the newly installed “DATABASE.db3″ file with your working database, this will have copied over all of your settings and profiles for use in the new version.
That is all you need to do. This will not be a normal thing when updates are released in future, this was to allow No Hands SEO to have much better control over updates and database access.
